Adriana Maritza Rivera Barreto

is graduated from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia with her Bachelor of Spanish-English. She holds an MA in English Language Teaching Autonomous Learning Environments from Universidad de La Sabana and the ICELT – In-Service Certificate in English Language Teaching issued by the University of Cambridge. Besides, she holds an MA in eLearning from Universidad Camilo José Cela. Currently, she is a full-time English teacher – researcher at Universidad Santo Tomás – Tunja.

Gladis Leonor Arias Rodríguez

Gladis Leonor Arias Rodríguez holds a Master Degree in Language Teaching from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC), Master Degree in Pedagogy at Universidad Santo Tomas (USTA) and Bachelor in Modern Languages Spanish-English. She has experience in teaching English from primary to higher education. Her latest investigations have been in literacy, literature, curriculum, stereotypes and legal cases for teaching English. Currently She is full-time teacher, researcher and editor of the Shimmering Words: research and pedagogy e-journal (USTA), she is part of the Expedicionarios Humanistas research group at USTA Tunja, Colombia.

Maria Alexandra Rincón Pardo

Is certified in Foreign Languages Teacher (English and French) degreed at Universidad Pedagogica y Tecnológica de Colombia and who has earned a degree in a Master of Teaching English as a Foreign Language in Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana - UNINI Puerto Rico y Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana - UNINI México. And who is coursing a Master in Educational Environments mediated by TIC at UPTC. Furthermore, Research Teacher who has circulated research products on investigative journals and as speaker in International lectures represented Universidad Santo Tomas Tunja. Moreover, who was working as a provider in English for Teachers of primary school in bilingual projects in Comfaboy. Teacher in Modern Languages and Foreign Languages at UPTC and Tutor in VUAD Santo Tomas a Distancia. My teaching style combines different communicative approaches as well as methodologies through E-Learning with an experience of over 11 years now.

María Victoria Guzmán

is an English teacher at Santo Tomás University. She holds a Master in English Language Teaching for Self -Directed Learning - Universidad de La Sabana, a graduate Diploma in TESOL - Anaheim University, USA. She studied a specialization in Computer Tools for teaching - UPTC. She completed studies in English Phonetics and Pronunciation and Technology resources to enhance Language Learning - Hamline University, USA- Holds a bachelor degree in Modern Languages-UPTC. Her research interests include new teaching and -learning interests- research and technology for academic purposes.

José Miguel Fagua Contreras

Is a professional in modern languages from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. He also holds an M.A. in Language Teaching from the same university. He is a full-time teacher at Universidad Santo Tomás in Tunja. His participation in national and international conferences, lectures and seminars has increased his pedagogical skill as a teacher and as a human being. Dedicated and promising to satisfy educational needs and well-being of the students by using different activities and materials that engage and challenge the students intellectually. Moreover, he is a respectful and promoter of healthy relationships with all teaching and non-teaching staff members. Devoted to inculcate model behavior and good values in the students.

Daniel Cruz

English teacher at Santo Tomás University. He holds a bachelor degree on modern languages and a Master’s degree on teaching from Universidad de La Salle. His recent investigations have been related to writing processes on students as well as new scopes to foster reading and writing skills. His experience as a bachelor teacher has also gave him new abilities and chances to improve his teaching practices.

Nathalia Ximena Moreno Novoa

holds a Bachelor degree in Modern Languages from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC) and a Master Degree in Bilingual Education from Universidad Internacional de la Rioja (UNIR) Spain. She has worked as an English Teacher with different levels of education, this experience has increased her abilities in the teaching practices. Her recent research interests have been focused on CLIL, and different and innovative ELT methodologies.

Leidy Girleza Cano García

Was an adjunct professor at Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. She holds a Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages and a Master’s in Language Teaching from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia in Tunja. She is currently working as a full-time professor at Universidad Santo Tomás. She belongs to the research group JOIE. Her research interests include language, culture, and technology.

Laura Sepulveda

Through her professional career she has obtained Language Teaching experience in different academic environments since 2011. She has a postgraduate study in Humans Rights Pedagogy and a Master Degree in Applied Linguistics for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She has developed action research projects to create opportunities meant for improving students’ communicative skills and language strategies. Currently, She is developing a Research Proposal for UNINI (Puerto Rico) about teaching Spanish as a foreign language to complete her dual master degree.

Diana Abril

Holds a B, Ed. in Modern Languages: Spanish-English from Universidad Pedagógica Y Tecnológica De Colombia (UPTC) and also holds a specialization in Computer Tools for teaching from UPTC, too. She holds an MA in Translation and Interpretation from Universidad Autónoma de Manizales. Currently, she is a full-time English teacher at the Universidad Santo Tomás – Tunja.

She is an enthusiastic and committed teacher with 9 years’ teaching experience in different academic contexts levels like children, young people and adults. She has participated in national and international conferences, lectures and congresses. It has increased her pedagogical skills as a teacher and as a human being.

Cesar Mauricio Romero Díaz

has more than 10 years of experience in teaching EFL at various and diverse contexts. He considers himself a very active and dynamic person, he loves getting a great synchronicity with his students. He has studied BAT in Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, a Specialization in Virtual Learning Environments and he is currently in the process of having his Master Degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Gilma Johana Cuervo Fonseca

Studied Modern Languages at Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. She is also a M.A. (candidate) in Language Teaching from the same university. This teacher has four years of experience teaching English at a university level. Her research experience has been related with de-colonization and resistance practices in the EFL area.

Jorge Iván Sánchez González

English teacher at Santo Tomás University. He holds a modern languages degree from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, the Same university where he graduated from his postgraduate coursework on Project Management. He is currently coursing the last semester of his master's degree in Educative Technology and Digital Competencies at Universidad Internacional la Rioja, España. He has experience working with virtual environments through international online exchanges with several countries. Able to manage online institutional events through broadcast platforms and social media. He also has experience working abroad and working with technical, professional, and indigenous communities.
